Car park coming from Argelès-Gazost in the centre on the right before the post office. Another car park a little further on next to the Miro bakery.
(S/E) From the car park, return to Argelès-Gazost via the Val d'Azun road (D918). Pass the Rue de l'Arragnat and Rue des Taillades on your left and, at the start of the bend in the road, take a path on the left.
(1) Continue until you reach a road, which you take on the right. This road leads to the Trabessès road, which you cross. Turn left into the cul-de-sac alongside the houses. At the end of the cul-de-sac, take a grassy path.
(2) Continue until you reach a track. Turn left until you reach the Argèles-Gazost junction.
(3) Turn left. Go through a gate marked "Attention au chien" (Beware of the dog). Go under a power line. You will arrive at a place called Tarentet. Continue along this road to Gez, passing under another power line.
(4) In the village, follow the yellow Mont de Gez markings. Arrive at the D102 or Rue du Bayet. Leave it after crossing the Bayet and take a short stretch of road
(5) At the power lines, go straight ahead. Follow the yellow markings that enter the forest via a wide track. Pass in front of one house (Souet) then another (Sarrat).
(6) Immediately afterwards, leave the track and take one on the left. Head south towards Col d'Arras along the track, still marked in yellow, which winds through the forest. It leads to the summit of Mont de Gez.
(7) The red dirt track at the start heads south and enters the forest again.
(8) Leave the Argelès path on your left and continue straight ahead until you reach the road. Turn left and continue to the next intersection.
(9) Turn right and continue straight ahead until you reach the road.
(10) End of the yellow markings. Turn right and follow this road to the village (S/E).
