To reach the starting point by car.
- From Pélissane, take the Eguilles road (D17) and follow it for several kilometres. After the Val d'Estable farm (on the left), continue on the departmental road, pass a building on the right-hand side of the road, which shortly afterwards makes a slight left turn. Shortly afterwards, at elevation 137, there is a path on the left. Park there.
- From Eguilles, take the D17 towards Pélissane, continue after the hairpin bend and the narrow bridge over the Marseille canal, ignore the first road on the right (there is a gate blocking this road) and a second road. Shortly after a kilometre marker (km 54), then further on, there is a road on the right (elevation 137). Park there.
(S/E) Take the track heading north-east for 600 m to reach a path.
(1) Take this path to the left, heading north. The path soon splits in two. Leave the path on the right, where there is a sign indicating "le Vallon - chambres d'hôtes - Propriété privée" (le Vallon - guest rooms - Private property), and continue north.
After going around a barrier, follow the uphill path, pass under a power line and arrive at a bridge over the canal at the Vanne de la Grande Plaine.
(2) Cross the bridge and, at the "Parking 9" sign, take the path on the right. Follow it to the canal.
(3) Follow the canal to the left, do not take the bridge. Where the canal passes through a tunnel, you will have a view of Montagne Sainte-Victoire to the east.
(4) Continue following the canal and return to the bridge at the Vanne de la Grande Plaine.
(2) Take the same route back to the starting point (S/E).
