(S/E) Park at the Lac de Noirétable car park. Follow the D110 south to the level crossing.
(1) After the level crossing, follow the path on the left that runs alongside the railway line to the hamlet of Bruchet.
(2) In the hamlet, take the tarmac road on the right, cross the hamlet of Les Huttes, following the signs numbered 13.
(3) At a crossroads with a stone cross, turn right.
(4) Take the path on the right to climb up to Puy du Rot. There would be a complete panorama of Noirétable if it weren't for the trees, but you can only see part of it. Turn around to rejoin the path, then turn right at the foot of the hill.
(5) Follow the road downhill to the right for 200 metres, then take the path opposite under the trees, following the signs numbered 14.
(6) At the entrance to the hamlet of Fresse, take the road on the left for 500 metres.
(7) Take the path on the right, cross the hamlet of Montcel, then follow the D110 road on the right until you reach the crossroads you passed on the way there.
(1) Turn right and return to the starting point via the same route as on the way there (S/E).
