Start at the stone bridge at Jû-Belloc. To get there, once you’re in front of the town hall, turn left and then immediately right to reach the bridge.
(S/E) Head south and follow the path running along the banks of the Adour (nature reserve). Pass behind the wool mill buildings; you are now on the Greenwich Meridian.
(1) Pass between two ponds (the “Les Delios” birdwatching hut) and continue along the path, still by the water’s edge, for 1.5 km.
(2) Turn left onto the path lined with poplars and head north-east towards Belloc. Before the village, the path veers to the right and crosses a small bridge (wash house and, 50 m to the left, along the Alaric Canal; medieval gate). Cross the D173 and take the small road opposite for 400 m.
(3) Take the path on the left, cross a small road and then the D373.
(4) Turn left then right. Continue straight on and, at the end of this road, turn left into Jû-Belloc.
(5) Cross the D173 and pass the Baulat mill (under restoration) on the Alaric Canal. Walk alongside the cemetery on your left and, at the next fork, turn left. Continue straight ahead on the path and walk alongside the Adour again. This will take you to the stone bridge at Jû-Belloc (S/E).
