Park in the cemetery car park. In Saint-Germain-en-Coglès, head towards Montours via the D17. The car park is on the right as you leave the village.
(S/E) Leave the car park, passing in front of the cemetery entrance, and take the old road on the right which runs alongside the sewage treatment works.
At the end of the road, turn right. At the Fork in the road, continue to the right and, after 50 metres, take the path on the left (not shown on the maps). This leads to another path which you should follow to the left.
(1) Turn right, heading south-east, then, after a wide left-hand bend, head north-east.

At the T-junction, turn left and you’ll reach the road leading to the Moulin du Bas-Châtellier. Follow this road to the left.
(2) Turn right. Cross the streams (the Hunaudais and then the Loisance). At the junction, continue to the right.
(3) Carry on straight ahead, ignoring two roads on the left, until you reach a junction.
Note, to the left of the road leading to Le Châtellier, a staircase made of logs and earth with very high steps. Take this and continue up the path.
Off the main route: At the Fork in the road, halfway along the route, leave theGR®® and take thePR®® to the left. The path leads downhill and, before reaching the road, turn right onto the track where, after 20 metres, try to catch a glimpse of the Devil at the Smoking Rock. Walk back up to the Fork in the road and turn left.
Continue climbing to reach the business park and the village hall car park.
Carry on to the village, taking the path on the left that runs alongside the road.
(4) Pass four modern detached houses on your right and head down the path towards the north-east.
After a water intake on the right, turn right then left. Turn left before the first building in Montmerson. Cross the A-road and continue straight ahead on the right along the path. Pass through the hamlet of La Chauvinaie (see note below).
(5) Follow the road to the left for 70 metres, then turn right, heading due north.
When you reach a crossroads, with a wayside cross on the right, follow the road to the left and continue straight ahead along the track at the bend to the right.
Cross the Ruisseau de Fretay and carry on along the path.
Note the cave on the right where, until the 1960s, a procession was held on the Feast of the Assumption
At the crossroads, take the path furthest to the right. Follow it round its two bends to the left, then turn right to pass in front of the Parc Floral visitor centre.
(6) Turn right to cross a landscaped garden, then continue across the car park, veering slightly to the left. TheGR®® continues to the right.

Take the road heading south which runs around the park on your left. Ignore a road joining from the right and, 30 metres after the Fork in the road, take a path (hard to spot as the sign has fallen down) on the left.
Turn right and follow the long, straight, tree-lined avenue (this is the old access road to Château de la Foltière). Continue along the road as it extends, heading south.
(3) Turn right, then take the first road on the left. You’ll rejoin the GR®® signposting.

(2) Turn right. At Vau Besnard, veer to the left.
(1) Carry on straight ahead. Take the first path on the right, then onto the road; turn right and then left at the Fork in the road. Before reaching the departmental road, take the old road on the left to pass in front of the cemetery and return to the car park (S/E).
