Park in the car park at the town hall at the northern exit of the village of Odenas.
The route is very well signposted with red signs.
(S/E) From the town hall car park, take the D 68E on the left. At the fork, turn right onto Chemin des Fosses, which after a farm becomes a path through the vineyards. At the crossroads, go straight ahead, follow the path and go around a pond until you reach the road.
(1) At the Château du Pierreux signpost, turn right towards La Roche and Charentay. Follow the road for 100 m until you reach the La Roche signpost. Turn left onto Chemin du Laitier towards Mont Brouilly. After 100 m, the road becomes a track.
(2) At the crossroads, take the Route des Combes on the left for 200 m. Leave the road and take the path opposite. Cross the D 68E and continue straight ahead on the path until you reach the Sancillon stream. Take the footbridge to cross it and follow the grassy path that climbs up to the hamlet of Conroy. Continue along the road for 50 m until you reach Château Thivin.
(3) Turn right towards Côte de Brouilly, then right at the end of the house. Follow the signs to the Côte de Brouilly marker via a winding path through the vineyards.
(4) Continue climbing on a small road, cross the Mont Brouilly road and take the path opposite to the car park and a viewpoint. Cross the road and take the path on the right of the car park towards the Chapelle de Brouilly.
(5) From the chapel, follow the road to the car park. Take the path at the end of the car park to the pylon. Before the pylon, turn left, pass a picnic table and take the path that enters the woods. Follow the path, ignoring those on the left, until you reach the road again after a hairpin bend. Take the path on the left that descends to the Cédraie table. Turn left onto the path towards the Croix de Dessaigne.
(6) At the signpost, turn left towards Au pied du Mont. Pass the signpost for Vers Chavanne and follow the signs for La Poyebade.
(7) At the next crossroads, turn right towards Odenas and Beaujeu.
(8) Cross the D43 carefully and turn left onto it for 100 m, towards Odenas. Turn onto the small road on the right, towards La Folie and Ermitage de Brouilly. At the signpost for La Folie, continue towards Brosse-Sabot.
(9) At the "GTR 28 km" signpost, turn right and continue uphill until you reach the Bosse-Sabot signpost.
(10) Ignore thefirst track on the left towards Trou du Loup and continue straight ahead for 10 m. Take the track on the left that follows the ridge line and offers beautiful views of the green Beaujolais region. At the GTR 30 km signpost, take the path on the left that leads to Trou du Loup.
(11) Turn left onto the path towards Saint-Étienne-la-Varenne and Combiaty. At the Combiaty signpost, continue towards Saint-Étienne-la-Varenne until you reach the Croix des Rameaux.
(12) At the crossroads, cross the D 62 carefully and take the path near the bus stop that descends towards the Château des Tours.
(13) At the château, turn left onto the small road that runs alongside the property. After the pond, take the path on the left and join the D 62.
(14) Follow it to the right towards Odenas, running alongside the vineyards below the road until you reach the hamlet, then take the road carefully to the Odenas cemetery.
(15) Leave the road and follow the path opposite, which runs along the left-hand side of the cemetery wall, then a housing estate. After the housing estate, turn right onto the track, which becomes Rue des Vignes and takes you back to the roundabout. Head for the town hall car park (S/E).
