The Mackintosh Trail from La Llagonne to Fetges

Park in the car park near the town hall and walk to Saint-Vincent Church.

(S/E) From the church, walk back down Rue Saint-Vincent and turn left. At the next junction, turn right and follow Rue de la Vieille École. Cross the D32a road and continue straight ahead to join the D118.

(1) Take this road carefully to the right until you reach the next junction.

(2) Leave the road and take the path leading off to the left. At the next junction, continue left, pass the car park and take the path opposite which leads downhill. Cross the Têt, continue along the track and you will come to a junction.

(3) Take the path on the left (Tour de la Citadelle) and walk along the outside of the ramparts of the Citadel of Mont-Louis. Further on, you will find one of the murals with a view of Fetges.

(4) Take the path on the right towards the entrance to Mont-Louis and cross the D66 with care.

(5) Follow the road downhill past the cemetery and turn left. Continue straight on and, just before the end of the road, take the path on the right. Pass two murals and arrive at the Tour d’Ovansa.

(6) Ignore the path leading down opposite and continue due north on the marked trail. Further on, pass a mural, cross the Têt and reach the mural located just below the D66 road.

(7) Follow the path in the opposite direction to the Church of Saint-Vincent (S/E).
