Park in the car park of the Hostun village hall.
(S/E) Behind the village hall, take Chemin de l’Usine. Ignore Rue des Petites Mains on the left (return route) and go straight on until you reach a T-junction. Turn left onto Chemin des Marnes.
(1) Turn right onto the ascending path and continue along a track until you reach a junction with a road. Go straight on to continue along the track towards the Château. Pass the Château, turn left and follow the path, which runs parallel to a small road at first and eventually joins it at the hamlet of Les Ferrands.
(2) Cross the road and take the path on the left leading down to another road. Continue to the right to the hamlet of Saint-Martin and head to the church square.
(3) On the right, take the path called Saint-Martin, heading towards Les Marchands. Continue uphill to Les Coqs.
(4) Go straight on, keeping to the left, until you reach the road. Follow it straight on towards La Roche and pass the property on your right.
(5) Leave the road and take the path on the left until you reach a field of walnut trees with a farm.
(6) To avoid crossing through the property, turn right onto a small uphill path and then continue left along the path through the woodland to the hamlet of Les Paillonnières.
(7) Turn right onto the road called Chemin des Paillonnières, heading towards the Château. Walk through the hamlet, past the wash house, towards Les Vachons: note a pretty house with blue shutters. Just after this property, head down the small path on the left called Chemin des Oiseaux to Chemin de la Raye. Cross the road and continue straight down the slope to Rue des Platanes in the centre of the village of La Baume d’Hostun.
(8) At the town hall square, turn left onto Rue des Charmilles then continue straight on. On leaving the village, take the road on the left then turn onto the first road on the right, called Chemin de la Verdure. Continue straight on along the grassy path until you reach a road at the hamlet known as Les Actes.
(9) Take Route des Guerrys on the left to the hamlet of Les Tortelons. At the junction, continue left onto Route des Guerrys, pass the hamlet of Les Coqs then La Combe de Sarron and arrive at a junction.
(10) Then turn right and continue along the Sentier de Tarlinière, passing through the hamlet of Flandrin and continuing to a crossroads.
(11) Turn left and continue straight on, passing the cemetery. Immediately on the right, take the footpath leading to the village entrance. At the junction, turn left onto Route de Saint-Martin, then immediately right onto Rue du Charron, then left onto Chemin des Écoliers behind the church. Cross Rue du Puits, continue straight on along Rue des Petites Mains and, at the end, turn right to return to the village hall car park (S/E).
