Description of the walk

The starting point is the Royans Museum (Rochechinard), where there is a car park. This spot offers a beautiful view of the Royans valley.

(S/E) Start on the path on the left, when facing the castle, towards "La Rognole" or "Le Château". Walk to an intersection called Les Roches Corbières.

(1) Follow the GTV (Grand Tour du Vercors) route to the castle. Keep to the right and follow the yellow/green GTV signs.

(2) At the castle, take the path that passes above, following the GTV signs, to arrive at a new intersection called Les Côtes.

(3) Take the path that descends to the right to rejoin the track. Then descend to the right towards the road until you reach an intersection near a building.

(4) Continue downhill to the car park, following signs for "Rochechinard" (Museum) (S/E).

A pleasant place if you enjoy stories and castles. Rochechinard Castle hides the story of the Ottoman Turkish prince Zizim... A pleasant little circular walk to and from the castle. A pretty hamlet.
