Park in the car park of the Labastidette sports grounds, Chemin de Marcus, located on the outskirts of Labastidette, in the direction of Lherm, on the left after the football pitches.
(S/E) Head towards the housing estate. Atthe first crossroads, turn left, then immediately turn right onto Chemin des Bourdettes towards Sardelis. You will reach the Saint-Martory Canal.
(1) Cross the bridge, continue straight ahead and a few hundred metres further on, go around the
house on the left and turn 90° to the right. Take the path winding through the fields. Then walk along a ditch and past a farm with horses before reaching the road.
(2) Turn right onto Chemin des Salères and continue to the hamlet of Cassagnes. Continue along this road to reach the bridge over the Riou.
(3) Cross the stream and stay on Chemin de Cassagne, passing the hamlet of Padouenq. Continue to the Y-junction at Chemin de Padouenq.
(4) Turn right and follow the straight section to reach a new T-junction marked by a hiking sign.
(5) Leave this path and turn left at a 90° angle onto a new path. Continue along the path that follows it to the edge of a wood. Cross the wood and return to the fields before arriving at the Canal de Saint-Martory.
(6) Walk along the canal, turning right to quickly reach a small footbridge.
(7) Do not cross the footbridge; instead, walk down along the canal, keeping it on your left, until you reach a road junction.
(8) You are not allowed to walk along the canal: a sign at number 1 indicates that access is restricted to authorised persons only.
You must therefore turn 60° left towards Gailloux to return to the starting point (S/E) by road.
