Parking is available in one of the car parks near the junction between the D40 and the D838: on the side of the town hall, at the entrance to Les Molières and on the left of the road when coming from Saint-Rémy-Lès-Chevreuse, or on the side of the church, on the left of the road when coming from Limours.
Almost all along the route, there are red and white markings corresponding to several differentGR® trails, usually accompanied by yellow markings. Numbered markers for the Pays de Limours are located at various points.
(S/E) From the car park, or from the junction between the D40 and the D838, take the latter northwards (Rue de la Porte de Paris). Just after a junction with a road coming from the right, turn left onto Chemin de la Butte Pierreuse. At the end of the street, a standing stone looks like a small menhir (but it does not appear to be one): just before this stone, turn right onto Sente Pierreuse. Walk along the back of the gardens until you reach a sports field.
(1) Stay on the path and go around the tennis courts on the left. At a fork (grey FFRP signpost on the left), take the path on the left that descends steeply into the woods. At the bottom of the descent, you will reach a wider path that runs alongside a stream. Take this path on the right and you will come out in the village of Montabé, on Rue des Sources (metal cross at the corner of the two roads).
(2) Take the street on the left, cross a stream and go slightly uphill between the houses. At the top of the street, turn right onto Rue de la Midorge. At the bottom of a short descent, be very careful in the left-hand bend as the road is very narrow at this point: check carefully for traffic coming from the left in the mirror provided for this purpose in the bend. Continue along the road, pass the Midorge Fountain (on your left), cross a stream and climb quite steeply into the woods. At the junction with another road (Borne n°5 "Montabé"), turn left at an acute angle and continue climbing.
(3) When you reach a small house (on your right) and signpost no. 4 (on your left), take the wide path on the left, which is actually the track bed of an old railway line (the small house is a former gatekeeper's house). Follow this tree-lined path, heading south-west.
(4) At Borne n°3, continue straight ahead on theGR®665on the wide flat path, which now heads south. Pass under a stone bridge, then ignore two paths on the left and right, and you will come to a road (bus shelter). Take the road on the left. A few metres further on, when this road bends to the left and just before the sign for the built-up area of Les Molières, turn right onto the street that starts between an electrical substation (on your right) and a building (on your left). The street quickly becomes a path between cultivated plots. At the fork (marker no. 114), take the left-hand path.
(5) At the crossroads (marker no. 113), turn left at a right angle. Continue north-east, with the village of Les Molières and its church tower in view. At a fork, with a tree bearing a red and white marker on your right, take the right-hand path. Walk along the fenced meadows on your left. You will reach a roundabout (oratory). Go around the roundabout on the left: cross Rue de Limours and continue straight ahead on Rue de l'Étang.
(6) At marker no. 7, just before the sign for the exit from Les Molières, turn left onto Rue de Roussigny. Just before a large house on the left, turn left onto Chemin des Écoliers. Go through a chicane and come out onto a small square. Make a left-right zigzag to pass another chicane and continue on Chemin des Écoliers, which has become a path winding between gardens.
(7) You will come to another small square (on your left, a house called "Lemmandelle") and take the street on the right towards the church (clearly visible). Cross Place des Lilas and join Grande Rue (the church is on the other side of the street). Turn right until you reach the junction between the D40 and the D838. Turn right into Rue de Gometz and immediately left to cross the junction safely. You will then return to your starting point (S/E).
