Departure from the square in front of Les Molières church (car park).
(S/E) Cross Grande Rue and take Rue des Lilas, which is slightly to the right. At the T-junction, turn left. The street ends quickly and continues as Chemin des Écoliers. At the end, turn right onto Rue de la Croix Valentin.
(1) At the intersection, turn right onto Rue de l'Étang. Cross the roundabout and take Chemin Rural n°11 (markedGR® Red and White) opposite. Ignore the first path that joins the path on the right and continue to a crossroads (Pays de Limours Community of Communes marker n°113).
(2) Continue straight ahead towards Pecqueuse. At the next crossroads, turn left. Continue on theGR®, south then gradually south-west, ignoring the various paths that join on either side.
(3) At the edge of a wood, go straight on along the path that descends into the wood. After crossing a stream, continue along the path, ignoring the small roads on the right. After passing a barrier, continue straight on. The path ends at a fence surrounding a materials depot.
(4) Follow the fence, keeping it on your right, and join the road that leads to the depot. Continue along Rue du 8 Mai 1945, staying on the left-hand pavement. At the three-way junction, turn left.
(5) Walk a few metres along Rue de Rambouillet and quickly turn left onto the Pays de Limours greenway. Follow the greenway, which crosses the Ruisseau de Prédecelle stream and passes under several road bridges.
(6) After passing under the bridge on local road no. 2 and arriving at a place called La Bénerie, leave the greenway on the right and rejoin the road. Follow the road to the right and take the bridge over the greenway.
(7) Cross the D988 carefully and continue on local road no. 2 towards Les Molières (GR®11, red and white markings).
(1) At the junction you took on the way out, turn right onto Rue de la Croix Valentin. Turn left onto Chemin des Écoliers, then right onto Rue des Lilas to return to the church car park (S/E).
. Perhaps it's a little less interesting when you arrive in Pecqueuse via the path that runs alongside a vacant lot, but overall it's a lovely hike that we'll do again, taking more time to enjoy the town of Pecqueuse.
