Start from the church.
(S/E) Head towards Prat de Bouc; at the wash house, take the village road on the left towards Le Chambon, and follow the red and yellow markings for 1 km to the four-way junction.
(1) Take the country lane on the right and climb up to the Mercou woods. Stay on the GRP®, follow the edge of the woods and enjoy the view over the Epie valley and the Plomb du Cantal (photo). At the edge of the woods, by the picnic table, follow the path down to the road (D44).
(2) Walk about 100 metres to the right, towards Paulhac, then, at the cattle pen, take the first path on the right (lined with trees). Follow it to a road.
(3) Turn left, then take the path on the right, behind the football stadium building. Walk down to the village of Loudier and cross straight through it.
(4) At the multi-way junction with an embankment in the centre, head down to the road below (D34), follow it to the left and quickly take the country lane on the right. Carry straight on until you reach a cross-road.
(5) Turn right and head towards the village of La Salesse by turning right onto the road and then left at the next junction. Keep right and continue to a multi-way junction with a central traffic island.
(6) Keep to the right, then cross the second traffic island and continue along the track towards Tombe de la Dame. Carry straight on until you reach it.
(7) Continue along the path opposite, then take the first path on the right, towards Pradalanche (baker’s oven, wash house, basalt fountain). Cross the hamlet and arrive at a crossroad at its exit (Stop).
(8) Turn right and, about 200 m after the last house, take the path on the right, which is grassy and tree-lined (photo), and follow it to the Paulhac housing estate. Continue along the tarmac road; at the junction, turn left then follow the D34 to the right and head for the church (S/E).
