Please note that while the lake is dry, the car park at the start of the walk is at Porh Boulan
(S/E). Follow the signs for Anse de Sordan. Once the lake has been refilled, it will once again be possible to park at the Anse de Sordan descent.
From the car park, take the path on the right and follow it to the road that descends to Anse de Sordan.
(1) After the campsite, take the path on the left (GR®341South)
(2) Follow the path along the lake to a footbridge, which you cross. You will rejoin the towpath of the Nantes-Brest Canal.
(3) After the footbridge, take the towpath on the left. Follow this path to the bridge that crosses over the canal.
(4) Enjoy the beautiful view of Bon Repos Abbey as you walk along the edge of the canal.
(5) At the bridge, turn right, walk 50 metres, then turn right again to enter the abbey courtyard. You can walk around the building and visit the interior (admission fee).
Then retrace your steps back to the bridge.
(5) Cross the bridge and turn left. Follow the road.
(6) Before the crossroads, take theGR®341on the left. Please note: the section of the path that joined the road after the bridge is no longer accessible, as the owner of the woodland has closed off access.
Follow the path downhill and rejoin the path you took on the way there at the footbridge.
(3) Turn right onto the path you took on the way there and follow it in the opposite direction to Anse de Sordan, then climb back up to the car park (S/E).
