Tour of Lake Blanchemer

To get to the starting point, from La Bresse follow the D34 then the^D34D towards Munster. Continue for about 8 km until you reach a crossroads with a car park on the right. Take the small road on the right towards Lac de Blanchemer, continue for 2 km and you will arrive.
Park in the large car park near the lake.

(S/E) Head towards the lake.

(1) Turn right onto the path.

(2) Don't hesitate to go down one of the many paths on the left for a return trip to a viewpoint. Then continue along the path, which climbs a little and then descends.

(3) Turn left for another detour along a small, barely marked path to reach a viewpoint on the edge of the lake. On your return, continue along the lane.

(4) There is another opportunity to get closer to the lake and the floating bog via a small path, then continue to the Chalet de Blanchemer.

(5) Pass below the chalet and return to the car park (S/E).

Caution! The floating bog is dangerous to access.

Swimming is prohibited.

Route accessible with a pushchair, preferably one with large wheels. However, access to the lake shore is not possible.
