Parking is available in the car park near the Chapelle Saint-Louis, "Place du Château", in Champigny-sur-Veude (about twelve kilometres south-east of Chinon and six kilometres north of Richelieu).

(S/E) Cross the main road (D749) and take a path that runs alongside the River Veude (south-east direction). Turn right and follow the winding path to a small square near a pond (information board). Cross a stream and take the path that goes around the pond on the left. Reach the bank of the Veude on a grassy bench. Turn left and cross the river. Take a small road on the right to the houses.
(1) At the houses, turn right and cross the Veude again. Follow the Veude (on your left) along a grassy path lined with trees. You will come out onto a small road.
(2) Turn left and cross the river again. After a few dozen metres on the road, when it curves to the left, take a path that branches off to the right. The path turns right, then heads south-west and runs along the edge of the woods. Turn sharply left and, after a few hundred metres, you will reach a road.
(3) Take the road on the left and, shortly afterwards, at a fork, take the right-hand lane to enter Niollet. Turn into the first road on the right (east-northeast), which leads to an isolated house. Go around this house on the right and climb the steep slope to the plateau.
(4) Take the small road, pass La Valinière and continue north-west for about 750m. On your left, there is a sweeping view: note Champigny-sur-Veude and the Chapelle Saint-Louis.
(5) At a left-hand bend, take the path on the right. Enter the woods, ignore the paths on the right and continue to a T-junction. Turn left and continue for a few dozen metres.
(6) At the fork (signs), continue in the same direction as before (west-northwest) and take the path that leads back to Champigny-sur-Veude. Walk along the vineyards. At the first fork, continue straight ahead.
(7) At the second fork, turn left at a right angle. Walk south-west for about 600 metres. When you reach the edge of the plateau, turn right at a right angle. At the Beauregard farm, continue along a small road.
(8) When you reach a cistern, turn left. Continue south-west and enter the village via Chemin de la Mairie, which continues along the street of the same name. Cross Rue St-Nicolas, then turn right into Rue des Cloitres. At the end of the street, turn left and you will immediately come out onto the main square, opposite the Chapelle Saint-Louis.
(9) Turn left to return to the starting point (S/E).
