(S/E) Head north and cross Rue des Sabotiers to continue opposite.

After crossing the Ruisseau de la Frominette, take the path on the left. It leads north to the Chapelle du Percho.
(1) At the crossroads, continue straight ahead. After 100 metres, ignore the path on the left. At the end of the path, turn left and, before thefirst house, take the path on the right.
(2) Cross over and first turn left then right to continue straight ahead on the path. On the road, turn left and after 70 metres, turn right, heading north then north-east. When you reach the road, turn right.
(3) At the hamlet of Babulaine, turn left then right to reach the banks of the Canut. Moving away from the river after turning right, the path heads south to join the D48 departmental road. Follow it to the right for 20 metres and then continue to the left.
(4) At La Bauduinais (see note below), continue left and, in the bend, take the path on the left.
(5) Ford the Canut. Turn right to pass under the railway tracks and cross the Canut again. The path ends at Fosse Auger.
(6) First turn right then left for 20 metres towards La Trotinais overlooking the Vilaine on your left (panoramic view), then cross over the railway tracks.
(7) In La Trotinais, take the path on the left. After running alongside a stream, the path turns right towards the south and ends at a small country road.
(8) Follow it to the left. At the T-junction, turn left. Then turn left towards La Grille, ignoring a path on the left after 60 m.
At the crossroads with a cross, continue left, ignoring the path on the right. Continue for 250 m.
(9) Turn right onto the path heading south-west. After 250 m, turn left. Follow the road to the left and take the path on the right after 150 m. At the end of the path, continue to the left.
(10) When you reach La Pronnais, turn right and then right again at the cross. Continue right along the road. After joining a road coming from the right, continue left and very quickly take the path on the right, heading west uphill.
(11) At the crossroads, take the sharp right turn. Continue right towards the north until you reach a crossroads. Turn left and follow the path that passes behind the houses and leads back to the starting point after crossing Rue des Sabotiers (S/E).
Be careful in winter, however, as it is not possible to cross the ford on the Canut. We had to turn back. It was a shame as it was a very nice hike. We will definitely do it again in summer.
