The starting point for this stage is at the lodge l'Écureuil in La Sage

(S) From the Lodge l'Écureuil, take the Route des Rocs southwards to the first intersection.
(1) Turn left and take the Chemin de la Mourâ. Climb up to the hamlet of Moteau.
(2) At the edge of the hamlet, continue along the path that climbs to the abandoned hamlet of Tsalé du Tsaté. (altitude 2,168 m).
(3) Make one last effort to climb to the upper level: the Remointse du Tsaté cattle farm (altitude 2,480 m).

(4) Continue the ascent to the Col du Tsaté (altitude 2,868 m).
(5) At the pass, enjoy a well-deserved break. Descend to the peaceful Lake Bayenna, which is also a good place to take a break.

(6) Turn left onto the Tour du Lac de Moiry and descend to a place called Le Lauché near a small lake.
(7) Continue downhill to the Moiry dam.

(8) At the foot of the dam, begin a descent via a few hairpin bends and rejoin the Barrage road.
(9) Follow the road for about 600 metres and find a path on the right that descends towards the La Gougra torrent. Cross the stream and follow it on its right bank to a new bridge at the entrance to Grimentz. Now follow it on the left bank, then climb up to the village at Clos des Frés. Take the Route des Amis de la Nature to reach the Hôtel Alpina, your accommodation for the night (E).
