A short stroll around Moulins

Park in Place Saint-Laurent opposite the Motte féodale in Moulins-la-Marche.

(S/E) Set off opposite, with your back to the Route de Mortagne, and head downhill, joining the footpath further on. At the end, you’ll come out onto a road at a place called Enfernel and continue in the same direction for about a hundred metres, negotiating the bend.

(1) Take the path to the right: do not continue towards La Garenne/Les Gousseries. After taking a bend to the left then another to the right, the path joins a tarmac road.

(2) Turn left, passing the Hyettes farm.

(3) Immediately afterwards, turn right towards the hamlet of La Brosse, keeping the barn on your left. After passing this hamlet, take a tree-lined path on the right.

(4) At the first junction, turn left and continue to a second junction with a pond opposite. Turn left and follow the path uphill, which becomes sandy.

(5) At the junction, take the road opposite towards the hamlet of Les Mares. Continue until you reach the first houses in the village of Moulins-la-Marche.

(6) Turn off onto the first residential road on the left, Rue de la Gaularderie. Continue to Place Saint-Laurent and the car park (S/E).

Waterproof footwear is essential as several sections of this route are muddy.
