Park in the car park near the church in Pussy.

(S/E) Walk through the pretty village of Pussy with your back to the church.

(1) At the right-hand bend, take the path opposite to reach the school and Pussy town hall. Turn left onto the street to reach the hamlet of La Croix. At the third hairpin bend, you’ll come to a crossroads of paths.

(2) Turn left into the meadows. At the junction by the stream, keep left and head for the highest point of this circular route at the Torrent de Pussy.

(3) Cross it and head downhill to the left. You’ll reach a path junction south of the hamlet of Le Crey. Turn left and follow this path through Le Crey, taking paths that cut across several roads. When you reach the D213a road, turn left onto it to return to the car park at Pussy church (S/E).

A pleasant little walk at the end of summer, with beautiful views of the village and surrounding hamlets, apple trees beginning to bear fruit, and everyone going about their business peacefully. Beautiful view of a snow-capped peak (La Grande Motte?). However, the route is not always obvious, especially once you have followed the path to the Pussy stream and crossed it: it says you have to go downhill, but you first have to go uphill before you see a sign for Les Creys. The only slight (and I mean very slight) downside was that we’d understood we had to leave the church behind us at the start… but which way should we go? N. S. E. O. – the church is always behind us!!!!! We gave the climb a go… it wasn’t too far off. Otherwise, a lovely walk with a chat to the villagers about their way of life. Brilliant.
