Yellow markings
(S/E) Walk along the cemetery and cross it to see the Saint-Michel Chapel, the Gothic monument in memory of Le Gonidec, a great Celtic scholar, and the mausoleum of the Tessier family. In 1830, the latter created the first factory for producing iodine from seaweed. Continue south along the small road through the little village of Lochrist, notable for its old houses.
Pass Pontler, with an old calvary on the left and the occultation lighthouse built in 1939 on the right. Continue, leaving the road to Brest on your left, and pass Kermergant (lodge), where you leave the marked trail.
Without signposts
(1) Continue on the same road which descends towards a stream. On the left, you will see a hill dominated by an old German command post dating from the Second World War.

(2) At the signpost, turn right onto a grassy path heading west. Follow this path, which crosses the D85, then join the coastal path.
GR®34signposting: White and Red
(3) Turn right and follow this path towards Le Conquet. Pass Pointe de Penzer and then Grève Bleue to reach the first of a series of small beaches, Porz Liogan. The path turns north-west, skirting another beach.
(4) Reach Pointe des Renards and walk around it (beautiful view of the harbour and Pointe de Kermorvan with its lighthouse). On the right, you will see the Brest-Le Conquet Radio maritime station, which closed in 2000.
TheGR® continues along the Corniche de Beg ar Louarn (Pointe des Renards), which overlooks Portez Beach.
On your left, you will see a small garden with two benches, the ideal place for a break. Continue along the Corniche de Sainte-Barbe, overlooked by a large restaurant currently undergoing renovation.
(5) Leave the road leading down to the pier on your left and go up Rue Sainte-Barbe.
At the top, turn left towards the Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Secours Chapel and its small garden.
(6) Go down Rue Dom Michel and reach the maritime cooperative, which offers a beautiful view of Le Conquet harbour. Follow the corniche down to the harbour, the pier for Ouessant and Molène, and the bustling shellfish fishing port.
Walk along the harbour towards the east and look out for two houses with external staircases, the Maison des Seigneurs overlooking the ria and a few old houses, known as English houses, dating from the 15th and 16th centuries.
(7) Continue along the ria to the footbridge, where you leave theGR®34.

Go around the leisure centre on the right and walk along the back.
(8) Take a small narrow path on the right that goes up towards the D789, which you will follow on the left until the next crossroads.
(9) Cross at the pedestrian crossing and, just opposite a Renault garage, turn right, then follow Venelle de Streat Hir on the left and turn left into Rue de Pen Ar Streat, which joins a road.
(10) Cross it towards the sports complex (Impasse Kennedy) and continue along a small alleyway. Then follow the small road to the right, heading south. It crosses a residential area and leads to the village of Lochrist. Go around the cemetery to return to the car park (S/E).
