(1) Park at the southern exit of the village of Beaunit, at the junction of the small road and theGR®441.
Take theGR® (red and white markings) heading east. The path is bordered on the left by a meadow, the Narse de Beaunit, and on the right by the forest.
Just after crossing the Ambène stream, turn right.
(2) At the crossroads, leave theGR® trail on your left, turn right and cross the stream again.
At the three-way junction, turn left. A little further on, ignore a path on the left.
(3) At the crossroads, take the path opposite into the forest. Be careful, as this path is about 5 metres to the left of the path you arrived on.
Cross a small road and take the forest path directly opposite. Continue straight ahead (west) on the slopes of Puy de Verrières.
(4) Just before the disused railway line on the left, turn right onto a wide path, then right again onto a grassy path through the moorland. Follow it to an old quarry.
(5) Then turn right, ignoring the first path on the left, and descend the next path on the left.
At the crossroads (elevation 813), turn left until you reach a small road.
(6) Follow this road to the right for about 450 metres.
(7) Leave this small road by turning onto the first path on the left. Then, in a bend, take the first path on the right.
At the next junction (elevation 824), take the main road on the right which crosses a wetland area.
Shortly before the D138 road, turn right onto a path, then right again onto the small road that leads to the hamlet of Beaunit.
(8) At the quarry, turn right and cross the village to return to the starting point.
