From Grenoble, take the road through Fontaine and Sassenage and climb up to the Vercors plateau via the Engins gorges. At the roundabout at the entrance to Lans-en-Vercors, turn right towards Autrans.
Pass the Auberge du Col de la Croix Perrin and park in the car park after the inn.
(S/E) Cross the D106 very carefully, as there is heavy traffic, and head for the starting point signposted Lans-en-Vercors. Take the path through the forest and follow it until you reach the tarmac Vagnet forest road.
(1) Take the road downhill to the left to reach the D106.
(2) Cross it carefully and head opposite onto the track, which leads gently to the hamlet of Chemin Neuf.
(3) Continue along the path on the left at the start of the hamlet. You will soon reach the ridge; continue along it to reach the Croix de Jaume.
(4) Turn onto the path downhill to the left that winds through Combe de Rui. You will arrive at a crossroads.
(5) Stay on the main path on the left to reach the Col de la Croix Perrin car park (S/E).
