The Chapelle des Vés

Set amongst green meadows and pine forests, the route is well worth exploring. The climb from the village of Le Ménil up to the chapel is not very difficult, and the views are superb.

Bring water with you, as there are no water points along the route.
Much of the route is sheltered under pine trees, but other sections are in the sun. If the weather is fine, remember to wear a hat.

Worth a visit

Don’t miss the village church at the start.

During the walk, enjoy the wooded sections and the interesting views over the valley.

A short, very peaceful and easy walk along a wide tarmac path, ideal for families.

I have been walking the marked trails of the Vosges for nearly 30 years and have never grown tired of them.

The view is stunning when we arrive at the chapel

It’s a shame there isn’t a short path or stretch of woodland leading up to it.

That said, there are some lovely views to take in.

Hello and thank you for your feedback.

Unfortunately, there are times when we simply cannot avoid potholes, especially on certain rough terrain.

A lovely walk to the chapel, although there was a bit too much road for my liking, and a magnificent view from the top.

A beautiful view from up high. A small chapel with an interesting history.
