Departure from Col de Morbieux, between Saulxures-sur-Mosellotte and Ramonchamp.
Red Cross markings
(S/E) Continue north on the Morbier Forest Road until you reach the right-hand bend.
(1) Leave the forest road and continue straight ahead, heading north on the Chemin du Grand Coteau until you reach the Col du Rhamné.
Blue signpost
(2) Take the path that descends to the left and continue downhill until you reach a fork after a right-hand bend.
(3) Leave the main path and take a trail on the right. Follow this trail to the Châtelet forest shelter.
(4) Take the path that branches off to the right, descending behind the chalet, continue straight ahead then turn left until you reach a fork.
(5) Turn right onto this uphill path. Continue up this steep climb and stay on the same path, keeping to the left until you reach a fork at an elevation of 720 metres.
No markings
(6) Turn right and continue to an X-shaped crossroads.
(7) Then take the small path on the far left that descends. It then becomes a nice path and rejoins the marked path.

(8) Continue along this path until you reach a tarmac road.

(9) Leave the road on your right, continue to the house and take the path that climbs to the left. Then take the path on the right that passes under the sheepfold. There are a few sheep pens to open, as there is no passageway.
(10) Beautiful view of the Moselle. At the end of this path, you will rejoin the tarmac road.
(11) Turn left, then right immediately after (until you reach another fork).

(12) Then take the small marked road on the left. At the top of a hill, follow the road on the right to the Col de la Sûre.

(13) Take the path in front of you, which descends slightly to the left. Continue along this path until you reach the Chalet Forestier des Rupt behind you.
(14) After the chalet, take a path on the left that is in poor condition and looks more like a riverbed.
(15) At the top of the hill, take the beautiful path to the right, then further down, leave it to take a path to the left. Arrive at the Chalet de l'Aireu.
(16) Continue along the path, which is sometimes damaged by forestry machinery, to the Col de Morbieux (S/E).
