The starting point is on the small square at the crossroads of Rue Gambetta and Rue de l'Église, where you can park. Turn left onto Rue de l'Église, then right onto Rue Chanzy. Follow theGR®14markings.
(1) Pass in front of the wash house, then the cemetery. At the fork, turn left.
(2) Turn right quickly, in front of the pumping station. The path crosses fields, then runs alongside vineyards and enters the woods.
(3) Before the small bridge, turn right, along the "la Germaine" stream.
(4) At the next bridge, cross and after 100 metres, turn right. Pass by a pretty picnic area under large trees.
(5) At the crossroads with Grande Rue, turn left, then turn right in front of the farm. When you reach the road, cross with caution. Take the lane on the left that runs alongside the road. Cross the Livre.
(6) After about 200 metres, take the path on the right that goes up the hill and continue straight ahead.
(7) When you reach the viewpoint, turn right towards Avenay (sign) and follow the path through the woods on Mont Aigu. Continue straight ahead until you reach the D9.
(8) When you reach the road, cross it and continue straight ahead, slightly to the right. At the cross, turn left, cross the small bridge and you will arrive at the main street in Avenay.
(9) Turn right and after 200 metres you will arrive at the starting point (S/E).
