Park on the D 71 at the Promenade des Hauts de Germaine, between this village and the D 951.
(S/E) Follow the GRP® de la Montagne de Reims trail southwards, marked with a few yellow and red signs. Follow the signs for Vers Mutigny.
(1) At a fork in the road at La Cabotière, continue straight ahead on the GRP® trail, which follows an old Roman road.
(2) Leave theGRP® when it is blocked by a chain (if it is stretched between the two posts) and turn right. After about 350 m (elevation 268), turn left onto a path that may be very wet (if so, take a parallel path on the left). You will come to a recently cut area of trees. Continue straight ahead, ignoring the paths branching off to the sides. The path curves to the right (south-west) and leads to a crossroads.
(3) Take thefirst path on the right (barrier), marked with red, green and blue arrows. After a right-hand bend and a left-hand bend, head into the undergrowth to the north-west and ignore all the paths on the right.
(4) At the end of the path, turn right and immediately ignore a clearly visible path on the left. Leave the house of La Neuville en Beauvoir on your right and take a path through a tunnel (north-east). Cross the woods to reach the Grand Étang de la Neuville.
(5) Walk along the pond on your left and continue north-east. At the crossroads, go straight ahead and ignore the paths on either side.
(1) At the crossroads you took on the way there, turn left and, following theGRP® northwards, return to the car park (S/E).
