The circular Golf Loop in Mijoux

The circular Golf Loop is a walk accessible to all, starting from Mijoux. It is varied, with coniferous forest, beautiful expanses at the end of the golf course, all accompanied by the gentle sound of water flowing from the river.
A sumptuous walk to discover the Valserine with the magic of snow-covered landscapes.
The trail can be used with snowshoes or on foot.
It is accessible for families, with sledges and children.
This route can only be done in winter when there is snow and is marked in purple.

Description of the walk

(S/E) Starting from Mijoux, from the tourist office, take the Pont de Charlemagne (snowshoes in hand) and climb to the left of Saint-Christophe, the church of Mijoux.

(1) Here, put on your snowshoes. The trail begins in the field opposite the church. It then turns right and follows the path under the Monthoiseau. You will arrive at the Route de Couture.

(2) Cross the road, then take Chemin de Couture and follow it just before Golf de la Valserine. From this point, the trail turns right and crosses a small bridge.

(3) Cross over to the other side of the Valserine. The trail runs alongside the Pellagrue cross-country ski trail and returns to Mijoux through the coniferous forest.

(4) Cross the woods, then back on the road, turn left towards the starting point (S/E).

There are parking spaces opposite the Couronne restaurant, along Rue Royale, at the Egravines car park or after the Charlemagne Bridge.

Worth a visit
