Park in the small car park at a place called "La Haute Goutte" on the banks of the Serva. Access from the main road in Natzwiller. Turn right coming from Rothau (towards La Haute Goutte), cross the Rothaine, turn left onto Rue de la Serva, then right onto Rue de la Cascade, which continues along a path. Head for a small car park at the entrance to the forest on the banks of the Serva.
(S/E) Leave the path that crosses the Serva and take the path that climbs into the forest. Join a gravel path.
(1) Take it on the left. Join the path marked with a yellow triangle along the stream and pass in front of the Cascade de la Serva.
(2) Continue climbing until the trail joins a path. At the hairpin bend, continue straight ahead along the Serva (marked with a yellow triangle).
(3) Just after a second hairpin bend, take a small path on the left that heads north (marked with a yellow triangle). At the first intersection, continue straight ahead. At the second, turn left. Further on, cross a pasture, cross a small road and take the path opposite that runs alongside a riding centre and leads to the D414.
(4) Cross the departmental road, ignore the yellow triangle sign and take the path opposite, slightly to the right (blue cross sign). At the first intersection, turn left. Keep left at the second intersection and exit the forest. Further on, turn slightly to the right to follow the ski lift.
(5) Leave the path that branches off to the left and continue in the same direction towards the summit and the Champ du Feu tower (red-white-red markings). The path eventually runs alongside the D214 on the right. Reach the observation tower (unfortunately, access is blocked).
(6) Go back in the opposite direction on the other side of the road, then head into the forest via the path marked with a blue rectangle, which rejoins the road.
(7) Follow theGR®5towards Schirmeck and the Vieille Métairie (marked with a red rectangle): leave the road and take the path furthest to the left.
(8) Pass near the source of the Andlau and arrive at the Vieille Métairie.
(9) Continue left on theGR®5. After about 100 metres, leave theGR® for a path that climbs up to the left (marked with a red triangle) and rejoin the D214.
(10) Cross it and follow the path that branches off to the right, away from the road, for a few metres, then leave it on the left, cutting across the meadow (look for the red triangle markings) to join a path that descends steeply in a straight line into the forest.
(11) At the crossroads, continue downhill, following the red triangle opposite on the left. Further on, the path turns right in a hairpin bend. Leave it and go straight ahead along a path that crosses two streams in succession (continue to follow the red triangle). The path joins a track, then a wider track.
(12) At the bend, leave the track and turn left, crossing a stream via the path still marked with a red triangle. After about 100 metres, do not go straight ahead but descend in a hairpin bend to the right, then make another hairpin bend in the other direction to join a path (follow the markings carefully).
(13) Join a track and, at the bend on the right, take the path that branches off to the left, crosses the Serva and returns to the start (S/E).
