Park in the car park in the village of Innimond next to the wash-house and the fire station, in the direction of the orientation table.
(S/E) From the car park, head back towards the village along the right-hand street (30m), then turn right, passing the cave dwellers' house 50m further on and continuing straight ahead along the road towards Ordonnaz (D94A).
(1) On leaving the village, take the Chemin de la Perche to the right and climb for 600m. The natural path goes off to the right but it is a dead end, another path goes off to the left and leads to a TV aerial, between the two take the good flat path which leads back to 450m near the Ordonnaz road.
(2) Take the track on the right that leads after 1700m to the Col du Grand Pertuis 1096m.
(3) Turn right and follow the path (GR®59) which climbs very steeply for about fifty metres and then becomes gentler. This path is often wet and slippery, so poles will be useful. Continue along the GR® over the ridges. After 1400m, pass the highest point of Mont Pela (1152m).
(4). Continue slightly downhill, passing a telecommunications relay station. The path begins to descend a little further and then steepens again to reach the Col du Petit Pertuis (1031m).
(5). (Take care on this stony section, which also requires sticks). From the pass, continue straight ahead on the GR® as it continues downhill, passing the hang-gliding take-off area.
At the bottom of this descent, continue and climb back up slightly, still on the GR®59. Don't be tempted to approach the cliffs, as there is a safe lookout just before you reach the Croix de la Roche.
After the lookout, leave the GR® to reach the cross.
N.B. I do not recommend going back down to Innimond on the GR®, which is very eroded below the cross.
(6). From the cross, head north for 20m and find a clearly visible path that immediately splits in two. Take the grassy path to the left and cross the rondino.
(7) After 150m, an inconspicuous path leads off to the left. Take this path, which descends into the wood and joins the GR®59after 500m, immediately after leaving the wood.
(8). Turn right and follow the GR® for 1200m to reach the starting point (S/E).
