Start from the Chalou-Moulineux cemetery, Rue des Vignes. Park in the small car park by the cemetery, situated along the street (see other options in the practical information section).

(Start/End) Follow Rue des Vignes away from the village and walk alongside the cemetery on your left. The tarmac soon gives way to a farm track and, after a shed on the right, to a grassy path. After a metal gate, walk down alongside a fence on the right. After passing between two hedges, you’ll reach a T-junction.
Red and yellow markings
Then follow the path to the left (this is theGRP®® du Hurepoix) and head slightly uphill.
(1) At the top of the hill, turn sharply right onto a farm track. After a few metres (no markings here), at the corner by an EDF electricity substation, continue straight on (east-north-east) along a grassy path (let the track veer off to the left). Note the bell tower of Moulineux church on your right, rising above the trees. Walk alongside a hedge on your right, then pass a beautiful, solitary walnut tree on your left. Further on, go down between two hedges, then into a wood, and emerge onto the D160 road.
(2) Take the road to the left, continuing in the same direction (north-west; ignore the Chemin d’Ézeaux which branches off to the right). Follow the road for about 900 metres.

(3) At the corner of a large farm building on the right-hand side, carry straight on along the road (ignore theGRP®® path branching off to the left) and pass the Chaleau-Saint-Mars exit sign on the left-hand side.
(4) At the corner of No. 37, at the foot of the ‘Beaumont’ bus stop, turn right onto a grassy track (take care to spot this inconspicuous start). Weave your way between hedges and garden fences, then cross a stream via a footbridge (there is a washhouse in poor condition on the left). Then turn left onto a wide grassy path and follow the River Chalouette on your right. Ignore the first bridge and cross the river via the second one. Walk past a large farmhouse on your left and emerge at a crossroads.
Red and white markings
(5) Turn sharply right, walk alongside a boundary wall on your left and follow theGR®®111. After the last house, the tarmac gives way to a grassy path that leads into a woodland. Walk through the woodland on level ground for about 1.5 km, until you reach a small tarmac road.
(6) Follow the road to the left, keeping a wall on your right. At a fork in the road, take the path on the right. After a few metres, just before the gate of a house, turn right onto a narrow track. Turn left, pass a tennis court on your right and go round the house and its garden on the right. Continue along a narrow path, keeping the Chalouette stream on your right. After a fence on the right-hand side, you’ll come out onto a wider path; follow it to the right (towards the houses).
Red and yellow markings
(7) At the crossroads, turn right and take the path between the pond and the street (beautiful view). After the pond, continue for a few dozen metres along Rue de la Chaussée de l’Étang to enjoy a variety of views of the bell tower of Moulineux Church and the buildings surrounding it.
(8) Retrace your steps and walk alongside the pond once more.
Red and white + red and yellow markings
(7) Back at the crossroads, turn right. At the end of the tarmac road, at the corner of a wall, turn right again (no markings here) and walk alongside the horse pastures on your left. Go through a forest gate and take the path closed to motorised vehicles, which leads into a woodland. Still in the woodland, the path gives way to a trail that winds its way between some rocks on the left and some marshy areas on the right. Go through a forest gate and reach the Source Sainte-Appoline (wash house, statue).

(9) Turn right at the corner by the statue (let theGR®® andGRP®® continue straight on) and take the wide grassy path that starts at the foot of a beautiful weeping willow. Walk uphill between a property gate on your right and some large buildings on your left. When you reach an old gate, cross a tarmac lane (Voie des Hospitaliers) and continue uphill along the wide path. At the top of the hill, carry on along the tarmac road then turn right to reach the front of the church.
(10) Climb the steps on the right and go round the church on the right to see its bell tower and chancel. Retrace your steps (it is not possible to walk right round the church).
(10) With your back to the church entrance, continue to the right and walk up Rue des Templiers. Cross Place du Jeu de Paume. At Place Saint-Aignan, take the street on the right, leaving the war memorial on your left. At the Stop sign, first turn left then right onto Rue des Trembles and walk past the school on your left. When you reach the football stadium, turn right, cross a lawn and you’ll come to the cemetery car park (S/E).
