Short loop via Druidensteig

Start: Herdorf cemetery car park,Friedhofstraße

(S/E) From the cemetery, walk towards BiersdorferStraßeand follow it downhill. At the bottom, cross theroadand then follow theroad"Auf der Hassel" to the right. At the bottom, turn right and then left to reach the Stegelchen retirement village.

(1) Here, we turn right and pass the daycare centre. Now we walk a short distance along the Sottersbach stream. Then we turn sharply left uphill and follow the signs for the Druidensteig.

(2) At the top, you will reach a swing attached to a tree. There is also a hut built from branches and tree trunks. If you have children with you, you can linger here for a while. It is a nice place for them to let off steam.

Then we continue along the Druidensteig, which now leads downhill diagonally opposite the square with the swing.

(3) We reach the Josephshäuschen. From here, we do not follow the signs for the Druidensteig, but continue straight ahead down the narrow path. We arrive at Finkenweg, follow it to the next T-junction and turn left, then take the next right intoHomscheidstraße. Soon, a rather inconspicuous path leads to the left between houses. This takes us back to the Stegelchen retirement village. Once there, we turn right, then take the next left.

We reach a T-junction, turn left and then immediately right uphill onto "Auf der Hassel". From thestreet"Glockenfeld", we turn left and then cross thestreet. We continue along "Zum Fronstein" until the Asterweg leads uphill on the left, which takes us back to our starting point (S/E)
