Description of the walk

Coming from the D44, the car park is clearly signposted.
(S/E) Exit at the far end of the car park to pass by the dovecote and turn right onto the path.

(1) Turn right just after the SIVOM buildings, and don’t miss the wash house on your right. Continue along this path until you reach a road.

(2) Turn left, then left again at the next road, opposite the former holiday centre. Turn right onto the path just after the tennis courts and follow the fence,

(3) Turn onto the path on the right at the end of the fence and continue along it to reach the lake. Walk along the lake to the football pitch and take the access road near the changing rooms. Cross the D144. Take the path opposite to the road and turn left.

(4) Turn right and stay on the road on the right. Continue along the path that runs alongside the road to the hamlet of Le Haffond. Turn left onto this road to find a path on the right 10 metres further on.

(5) Take this path, reach the sea wall and continue until you rejoin the D144, then turn right.

(6) Take the first road on the left to reach the beach, and walk along it on your left.

(7) When you reach the aqua-gym centre building, go round the back of it to join the coastal path. Just after a beach access point, look for a path on the left.

(8) Take this path on the left until you reach a crossroads. Turn left and enter the woods, taking the first path on your right.

(9) At a crossroads, take the path on your right and continue to Kerscuntec; turn left to reach the dovecote and arrive at the car park where you started on the right (S/E).

A lovely walk; once we reached the seafront, we made our way to the tip of Île Tudy – it’s a shame we didn’t visit this little spot when we were so close by. It was lovely to wander around there.

The directions were too vague for me (I’m not very good with maps)
I ended up at the dovecote after walking for over an hour
Next time I’ll read the comments before going on the hike
Thanks to everyone

Hello, and thank you for this walk, which was enjoyed by a small group of walkers in the sunshine.
The weather conditions encouraged us to extend the walk to the tip of Île Tudy (13 km)

There have been changes in this area; the route between (3) and (4) is no longer passable, even though the guidebook still indicates it.
At point (3), the yellow PR markings lead south. Shortly after a footbridge over the stream crossing the polder, a signpost directs you to turn onto a discreet path which continues as Rue des Roitelets.Cross the main road and follow the path on the right-hand side of the road. Shortly after the pond, a new signposted path has been opened, leading to Le Haffond at (5). Then, follow the route as indicated.

Note: a pretty little statue has recently been installed in the niche of the Roscanvel fountain.
I have posted a photo of it on this walk’s page.

Best regards

Hello,

We have combined two routes:
Kermor to Île Tudy and from the Combrit polder to the port of Sainte-Marine to create a 20 km circular route.

A well-signposted and pleasant walk with no difficulties, sometimes following beautiful coastal paths. Please note, however, that at point 9 of the route from Combrit to Sainte-Marine, you must leave the GR trail heading towards Bénodet and take the PR trail along Rue de Béveren towards point 10 to reach the Kermor car park.

A walk well worth recommending.

Please note: during the walk, do not go as far as point 3 (the signposted path and the tennis court no longer exist); instead, turn right 50 metres before the barrier, just after turning left, and take a small path; follow the edge of the lake, climb a small slope, and you will rejoin the route via the sports ground.
Otherwise, it’s a lovely walking route.
