Access: Coming from Quimper or Bénodet, follow the D44, cross the bridge and park in the car park on the right at the end of the bridge.
Coming from Pont-L'Abbé, also follow the D44. In this case, the car park is on the right before you reach the bridge. You then need to cross the road (take care) to start the route.
(S/E) With your back to the car park, head towards the bridge (north-east), take the track to get under the bridge and turn left.
No permanent markings
(1) At the barrier marked with theGR® sign and the VTT2 sign, enter the Bois de Roscouré, managed by the Conservatoire du Littoral. Follow a wide forest path overlooking the river visible between the trees. Continue along this path for about 700 metres, which gradually descends and leads to a small stone bridge.
(2) Climb the steep path slightly to the left marked by a blue arrow (indicating a regulated route for horses). Follow this path along the edge of the woods, which then turns right and goes deeper into the woods. Continue along a long straight line.
(3) At the end, turn left onto a descending path that leads to another small stone bridge.
(4) Shortly afterwards, turn right and follow the VTT2 signs pointing north. You will reach a bridge with a stone arch. Stay on the path that crosses the bridge (view of one of the river's inlets).
(5) Continue for a few metres and climb up to the left to reach the buildings of the old Roscouré farm: a beautiful granite farmhouse.
(6) Cross the grassy courtyard and, at the far end, take a narrow path. After a few metres, at a fire hydrant, turn right at a right angle and follow a fence. Continue along this descending path which ends opposite the Anse de Combrit.
(7) Leave theGR® andPR® markings on your right and follow a wide path on the left that runs alongside Anse de Reluet. At the next three-way junction, turn right to continue the route to the end of the cove.
White and redGR® + yellowPR® markings
Cross a small bridge and walk up a stream on your left. Notice two beautiful oak trees on your right and reach a barrier where you leave the markings.
No markings
(8) Turn left to discover the Kerveguen wash house and its fountain. Continue for a few metres and take a 100-metre detour to the Fontaine du Stang (arrow). This rustic fountain is made of mossy stones.
Retrace your steps and continue left along a sunken path until you reach a barrier, where you turn left.
YellowPR® markings
Follow the carriage road that passes near a group of guest rooms.
Continue along this wide path for about 1 km. The markings are not very frequent, but follow the main path, ignoring all other paths branching off to the sides. Halfway along, look out for the sign on the left indicating the Touligaon fountain and wash house. Walk downhill for 50 metres to see this structure, which is made up of roughly assembled stones, indicating its age. Return to the wide path and continue to the left to reach a grassy car park marked by a fire hydrant.
(9) Turn right to cross this car park and right again at the end of the field. At the next marker, continue to the right and continue to a small bridge that you already crossed on the way there.
No markings
(4) Take the path down to the left, leaving the yellow-markedPR® trail climbing to the right. After about 150 metres, look for a new wash house and fountain on the left (arrow), the Kernou wash house. Log steps lead down to it 100 metres below. This large stone wash house is surrounded by five slightly sloping threshing stones at the top.
Retrace your steps and continue left on the path that gradually descends towards the banks of the Odet.
GR® +PR® Yellow markings
(10) Join theGR® andPR® coming from the left and follow this marked section for about 1700m along the right bank of the river, slightly overlooking it. This wide path goes around a large grassy area and then a bend in the river before reaching a small bridge that you already crossed on the way there.
(2) After this bridge, follow theGR® andPR® signs, which veer left to continue closer to the river (view of the Pont de Cornouaille). Be careful, this section is more difficult as there are many roots crossing this relatively narrow path. Follow the markings that veer to the right and climb away from the banks of the Odet. Return to the starting point and turn left towards the barrier.
(1) Head back towards the car park and take the hairpin bend to the left to follow the path that leads to the bridge. Continue on the left-hand pavement and cross the entire bridge (stunning view of the northern part of the Odet) and continue to the end of the bridge.
Cross carefully and return via the other pavement (view of Bénodet and the Odet estuary). Do not cross in the middle of the bridge at any time as visibility is very poor due to its profile. Continue and cross the D44, after the bridge at the cycle path, and reach the car park (S/E).
