Park in front of the Chavigny forest house.
(S/E) Take the "historic line" which heads north-west towards the Haute Borne crossroads.
(1) At the Haute Borne crossroads, turn left and follow the "Haute Borne" path for 500 metres, then turn right towards the Vierge reservoir.
(2) 250 metres after the reservoir, turn right onto a forest road between plots 8 and 9 and head north towards the Fisson crossroads (D92, Route de Maron).
(3) Fisson crossroads. Cross the RD92 and continue for 1000m to elevation 374 (Route Jean Lebrun).
(4) Cross the Jean Lebrun road and turn left for 800 metres towards elevation 360.
(5) Turn left onto Chemin de la Grande Goutte towards the quarry cave.
(6) After the cave, continue to plot 27.
(7) The path turns sharply towards the Maron climbing site.
(8) After the climbing site, cross the Grande Goutte path again. Continue above La Croche.
(9) Cross the Petite Goutte path towards Les Bourlières until you reach Maron.
(10) When you reach the junction with the RD92, head up towards the church where, on the right, you will find the path that takes you back to "le fond du val" and Chaligny.
(11) Cross the village via the Rue de la Goutte and Rue de la Pissote on the right until you reach the roundabout on Rue des Martyrs. Head left up the Grande Rue for 100 metres and turn right onto Rue des Auges to reach the Cité de Banvoie.
In the village, turn right onto Rue de Mine, then left onto Rue des Thuyas and finally right onto Rue de la Carte for 20 metres. Turn left onto the path to climb up to the "Val de Fer" and the iron mines. Finish the hike by climbing up to the Chavagny forest house (S/E).
