Park in the town of Hayange, Place de l'Hôtel de Ville.
(S/E) Cross Place de la Résistance et de la Déportation.
At the end of the square, turn left onto Rue du Général De Gaulle.
Cross Rue du Général De Gaulle at the pedestrian crossing (30 m).
Go up Place de la Paix on the right-hand side.
Continue right along Rue Maréchal Foch (300 m) on the right-hand pavement.
Cross Rue du Maréchal Foch using the pedestrian crossing opposite "Cote Fêche".
(1) Continue on the left-hand pavement to reach the entrance to Faubourg Sainte Berthe.
Turn left onto Rue de Knutange and walk 30 metres.
Turn left again towards the "Cote Fêche" path.
Walk up the "Cote Fêche" hill.
Take the footbridge over the motorway to enter the forest.
At the end of the footbridge, turn right towards the motorway tunnel.
Continue towards the top to reach a forest crossroads.
Turn left to cross the Bois des Chênes forest and continue straight ahead.
(2) Head towards the Barré spur: (straight ahead) A 400-metre circular loop will allow you to visit this ancient Roman camp.
(3) Return to the first path down to the left.
(2) Continue straight ahead towards Cité Gargan (without going downhill) and go around the city on the right, following the path: continue straight ahead at the tunnel under the motorway.
Follow this path until you reach the motorway again, which should remain on your right.
When you reach the second tunnel under the motorway, turn immediately left and follow this path, which will take you to the entrance of the Iron Mines Museum. A visit is a must.
(4) Go up the small road towards the chapel of "Notre Dame des Neiges" (Our Lady of the Snows), a circular route of about 500 metres, and return.
(5) Return to the previous crossroads.
(4) Head back down towards the Sainte Neige site: playground, rose garden, relaxation area, etc.
Cross the Sainte Neige site towards the D57 road, heading towards the entrance to the site.
(6) Cross the D57 road (caution: danger, no pedestrian crossing and vehicles drive fast).
Take the path on the left towards the Bellevue housing estate (lower path, near the gardens).
Reach the Bellevue neighbourhood by following this path, which runs along the edge of the forest (former railway line for ore), behind the gardens and parallel to the D57 road.
(7) At the edge of the forest: go down the street on the left towards Rue de la Mine, crossing between the rows of garages (on the left) to reach Rue Georges Clemenceau.
(8) Turn left down this street.
Take Rue de la Fontaine (opposite the crossroads).
You will reach Esplanade de la Liberté.
(9) Walk around this esplanade, which offers a view of the Hayange blast furnaces.
(10) Cross Rue du Maréchal Molitor at the Fensch.
Return to the starting point via Rue Jean Moulin (EDF on your right) (S/E).
