Park at the Ferme du Tréhémont car park (equestrian centre – access via Moyeuvre-Grande)
(S/E) From the car park at this equestrian centre, take the unpaved track that runs to the left of the farm, crosses the horse paddocks and then continues into the forest.
(1) Ignore the path on the left and continue along the Route Forestière de Tréhémont until you reach the junction known as the Cinq Chemins (hunters’ lodge on the left).
(2) Take the unpaved track on the left – a long, undulating straight stretch known as the Route Forestière du Grand Roulis – until you reach the Hêtres Pourpres car park.
(3) Turn onto the track that veers sharply to the left and follow it until you descend back to the village of Moyeuvre-Petite, then walk through the village for about a hundred metres.
(4) Turn onto the first road on the left. This leads to the path that climbs up to the Tréhémont plateau to rejoin the forest road taken on the way out.
(1) Head up to the right and, following the route in the opposite direction to the outward journey, return to the car park (S/E).
