Parking is available on the D6 at Huis Blin, opposite the stop sign on Route du Ruisseau de la Chaume. There is a platform where farmers sometimes park their agricultural equipment, which can be used to leave a vehicle, taking care not to block the entrance to the field or the paths.
(S/E) Follow the D6 towards Brassy for about 200 metres until you reach the start of a left-hand bend.
(1) Take the path on the right and cross the stream to reach the local road.
(2) Follow it to the left for about 100 metres, then turn onto the path on the right before the shed. You will reach a road when you arrive at Le Vivier.
(3) Turn left along the road. Go down to Moulin Tala, cross the Chalaux and continue on the municipal road for a little over a kilometre to Les Venduez, before arriving at L'Huis du Bout.
(4) Take the path on the right and enter the woods. Turn left at the first crossroads. At the edge of the woods, turn right and head downhill towards Chalaux.
(5) Cross the Chalaux, where you can take a pleasant break. Continue along the path, which begins to climb towards Rivières.
(6) Take the road on the left for a few metres. Leave the main road as it bends to the left. Continue straight ahead along the cul-de-sac. Cross Rivières until you come to a fork in the road.
(7) Ignore the path that veers to the left and keep to the right. The path descends towards a small stream before climbing back up and reaching a crossroads.
(8) Continue straight ahead until you reach Étang des Vernois. Please note that this is a private lake: swimming and fishing are prohibited.
(9) At the end of the dyke, turn right. Cross the small stream (if there is a lot of water, it is narrower a few metres downstream). You will come to a fork in the path.
(10) Take the path on the far right heading north. After about 2 km, you will arrive at the Ruisseau de la Chaume.
(11) Cross it and continue straight on until you reach the D6. To shorten the hike, you can return to the starting point via the departmental road by turning right and walking for just over a kilometre.
(12) Cross the main road (take care) and take the path opposite for about 200 m until you reach a crossroads.
(13) Turn right and follow the trail markers. After a few hundred metres, you will come to a section of the path that may be a stream bed, depending on the season and rainfall. This is fun if you have good shoes. You will eventually arrive at the Porcmignon Stream, which flows from a nearby pond.
(14) Cross the stream and shortly afterwards enter the hamlet of Porcmignon on a road that leads to a crossroads.
(15) Follow the road to the right and cross the hamlet for about a kilometre until you reach a place called Les Clous, where a path starts just before a left-hand bend in the road.
(16) Turn onto the path that descends to the right. Cross the Porcmignon stream.
(17) Immediately afterwards, leave the marked trail. Take the path on the left along the stream to the lake shore.
(18) Admire the Pormignon Stream waterfall, then take the path that runs along the lake to the right until you reach a crossroads about 400 m further on. On this path, some sections require you to stay close to your children.
(19) There are two options:
1) If you still have energy, you can continue straight along the lake to the D6, then take the D6 to the right and return to the starting point. It's longer, but it's beautiful.
2) At the bottom of the steps, take the path that climbs to the right until you reach a fork. Option chosen on the map.
(20) Continue straight ahead and rejoin the D6 at Huis Blin (S/E).
