Park on the small square along the main street at the bottom of the hamlet of Cresnes.
(S/E) Go up the street that starts at the end of the square, on the right (south-west), Chemin des Pâtures. When you reach the crossroads, take Rue des Buttes, which goes to the left (GR®11).
(1) Ignore a path coming from the right (this will be the way back) and follow Rue des Buttes until it enters the forest, where it becomes a wide stony track. This track is very steep at first, then flattens out as it reaches the plateau in the forest.
(2) Leave theGR® trail on your right and continue along the wide path, heading south-south-east, ignoring a path on your right. At a fork, turn right.
(3) Turn left at an acute angle (north-east). After about 100 metres, take the second path on the right. After about 200 metres, take the second path on the right again. Then ignore a path on the right. At the next junction, turn left and go downhill, then turn right onto the path.
(4) Leave the wide path that comes from behind, from the hamlet of Les Tuileries, and continue through the forest. At a fork, veer left. Cross another path and continue west then south-west, ignoring the paths on the left. At a T-junction, turn right.
(5) Cross the road and take the path opposite that climbs up between two very high embankments. Follow this fairly wide path, ignoring a path on the right and then one on the left. Descend and, at a fork, turn right (east). Then make a wide turn to the left and head north-west. Leave the forest.
(6) At the next fork, turn right onto a path that leads to the village of Chavançon. Turn left onto Rue aux Vaches and continue to a small square at the foot of the church.
(7) Continue on the right, taking the street that heads north and then turns northwest (Rue de Monneville). Walk along a small pond and, at the next fork, turn right towards the woods. Ignore the path that starts at the edge of the woods.
(8) At the next junction, turn right onto a fairly wide path that leads into the forest. At the T-junction, turn right. At the next T-junction, turn left. Head north-west.
(9) At the crossroads, take the second path on the right (south-east). At the fork, turn left (north-east; ignore theGR® on the right). At the next fork, turn left and go downhill.
(10) At the edge of the woods, before reaching Neuville-Bosc, turn right and continue along the edge of the woods, heading east-southeast then east.
(1) At the T-junction, turn left onto Rue des Buttes and follow the same route as on the way out to Place de la Liberté (S/E).
