Gulf of Morbihan north of Arzon

From point to point, you will discover the southern coast of the Gulf of Morbihan, enjoying views of Île aux Moines, Île d'Ars and the entrance to the gulf, among others, as you pass through typical villages and discover the rich megalithic heritage.

Description of the walk

(S) From the roundabout, head north-west to the intersection of the Route de Saint-Gildas-de-Rhuys and the Route de Port-Navalo. Take the Port Navalo road north for about 400 metres and continue straight ahead (menhir on the right). At the right-hand bend, without changing direction, take the path north, which leads to the coastal path.

(1) Take it to the left and follow it to the intersection with a PR®.

(2) Turn right and continue along the coastal path. Pass the point and arrive at the Pen Castel tide mill.

(3) Continue along the coastal path to Pointe Saint-Nicolas.

(4) From the point (less than 500 m to the right is Île aux Moines), continue along the coastal path.

(5) Pass by the pier for Île aux Moines and continue north to Pointe de Kerners.

(6) From the point (view of Hent Tenn private island and Île de la Jument), continueto the next point, making a circular route.

(7) From the point facing Île de la Jument, continue to Penbert.

(8) Continue along the path to the point facing Île Longue.

(9) Follow the GR® southwards until you reach Rue du Port Douar, which continues the trail. Follow it for about 250 metres until you reach Rue du Tréno.

(10) Turn right and continue along a path that joins Rue du Dolmen.

(11) Follow it to the right and, at the left-hand bend, continue until you reach the intersection with Boulevard de Bilgroix.

(12) Follow this boulevard to the left along the coast until you reach the public garden, Place du Tavéno in the Bourgneuf district (S/E).
