Fourcès walks

Set off on a walk through the vineyards or in the shade of the woods along pleasant paths offering views of Castelnau de Fourcès.

Along the shaded paths, you will overlook the Baïse and Osse valleys before reaching Larressingle. The former residence of the bishops of Condom has retained all the splendour of its medieval fortifications.

This circular route is dotted with historical sites, castles, chapels, abbeys, and the villages of Cassaigne and Mansencôme, and winds through woods and vineyards, alternating between paths and trails. This route starts in Valence-sur-Baïse, a 13th-century fortified town.

A pleasant and varied route, starting from Valence-sur-Baïse, which can be enjoyed in all seasons, with the aim of visiting the double lock at Graziac.

A hilltop village, Lagardère offers splendid views of the countryside, with its vineyards and multicoloured fields. Its typical Gascon château dominates the surrounding area and is accompanied by a small 12th-century Romanesque chapel.

An integral part of the Uby Valley nature reserve, the lake of the same name enjoys a remarkable environment in terms of its geography, flora, terrestrial fauna, birdlife and aquatic life. It covers an area of 80 hectares.

This easy little trail north of Lectoure allows you to explore the northern side of the town, following small streams.

Circular walking loop starting from Betbezer-d'Armagnac in the Bas Armagnac countryside in the Landes region on the border with the Gers. You will pass castles, cross vineyards, wooded valleys and hedgerows, and visit the village of Saint-Julien-d'Armagnac perched on a feudal mound. This route is marked by the Landes General Council with horizontal signs and direction changes.

Easy loop starting from Lussolle and passing through the pine forest to the springs of Moncaut.

Taking the path through the hills surrounding the hilltop village of Lavardens, walkers can see the castle on its rocky promontory at any time.

Between the Douze and Auzoue valleys, the village of Lupiac, perched on a hill, is crossed by the Chemin de César, an ancient Roman road also known as the Ténarèze. A fortified village, Lupiac belonged until 1792 to the Batz family, known for the most famous of the Gascons: d'Artagnan.

This easy route alternates between roads and paths between two beautiful Gascon villages: the recently renovated village of Sainte-Mère with its Gascon castle, and the village of Sempesserre, with sweeping views of the rolling countryside typical of the Gers region.

A very beautiful walk from the hamlet of Aurenque, along the Gers, through the pretty Petit valley, on the ridges overlooking Castelnau d'Arbieu, which offer a superb view of Fleurance and the surrounding villages, as well as the Pyrenees mountain range.

From Bazian, one of the best-restored villages in Gascony, follow the ridgelines through beautiful landscapes dotted with numerous windmills, signs of a former specialisation in agriculture. In Bazian, south of Vic-Fezensac, you will discover the village and its renovated castle, mills and viewpoints.

This is an easy, short hike starting from the car park at the cemetery in Fleurance, returning there at the end of the walk. Half road, half path, it is a very pleasant walk.

Starting from the Château de Montaut-lès-Créneaux, which overlooks the Aulouste valley, take theGR® de Pays Coeur de Gascogne to reach the Château de Malartic (private) in the Arçon valley. Set in lush green surroundings, the cemetery and small chapel of the château form a beautiful architectural ensemble. You return to the village via a small road passing in front of the Lassale Chapel (private).

Hike in southern Gironde, with a succession of typical rural landscapes: old farms with tobacco drying sheds, the Landes de Gascogne forest and old mills. The route follows the yellow or green departmental markings, along quiet country roads and forest paths. Not to be done during the wood pigeon hunting season (early October to 15 November).

This walk in the hills above Pavie, a charming little village near Auch, will allow you to discover the Gers countryside and, on a clear day, enjoy a superb view of the Pyrenees.

The path you are about to take linked the bastide of Pavie to the hamlet of Besmaux, which was only a modest seigneury until François de Monlezun, like other Gascons, left to seek his fortune in Paris.

Starting from Château Viella, a short route through vineyards and hillsides allows you to discover the surroundings of our vineyard.

This route will take you through green hillsides on ridges, in a vineyard where the rich scents of the terroir rise up. You will enjoy breathtaking views of the Pyrenees mountain range.
