Buan Forest: Creux de la Pierre

Parking is available near the pond, at the crossroads leading to Blangey-Bas / Maizières / Marcheseuil.

(S/E) Walk alongthe pond onthe path that enters the forest. Cross the Ruisseau du Poron stream and continue to the Combe de Froloin.

(1) Take the path on the right and climb up Combe de Froloin towards Creux de la Pierre.

(2) At the crossroads, turn right and climb up before descending towards the Statue of the Virgin Mary: viewpoint over the valley.

(3) Continue left to Chemin de Messe. This path is so named because the inhabitants of Blangey used to take it to attend mass at the church in Jouey, 3 km away. Turn left onto Chemin deMesse until you reach the next hilltop at Tierçant. Be careful, you will pass two hunting huts along this path.

(4) Turn left and walkto Croix Poillot .

(5) Follow the forest path on the left to Champ de Monge. Please note: this section of the trail is shared with the Forêt de Buan - Maison Forestière route.

(6) Follow the path downhill to the crossroads on the way out.

(1) Turn right and head towards the pond (S/E).

You will pass two hunting huts. Please keep your pets on a leash during hunting season.

The section between Croix Poillot and Champ de Monge is shared with the Forêt de Buan - Maison Forestière hiking trail. Hikers will pass each other.

The Statue of the Virgin Mary is a viewpoint.
