Departure from the tree-lined car park on the north shore of Lake Cercey.
(S/E) From the car park, take the path to the right of the irrigation channel towards Chailly, heading north, and you will reach a road after passing a small lake on your right.
(1) Turn left onto the road leading to the village of Chailly and join the D977.
(2) Turn left onto the D977 and cross Chailly-sur-Armançon.
(3) Less than 500 metres further on, when you reach a car park marked "Impasse", turn in. It is only a dead end for cars. The first few metres are tarmac, then it passes through farm buildings and continues along a stony, grassy path that climbs up to the Dionne pond.
(4) Take a stroll around this bucolic spot, perfect for a break, and don't forget to push open the door of the wash house and then the well at the bottom of which the spring seeps.
(5) At the next crossroads, turn left, then immediately left again and follow the small road downhill marked "Cercey". In less than 2 km, you will reach the shore of Lake Cercey near the car park where you started. But it's only over if you're tired!
(6) Facing the lake, you will see a supply channel on your right. Take the path on your left. It skirts around the bottom of the lake, under pleasant trees, for a little over a kilometre. Follow it to the dyke.
(7) Take the recently refurbished path on this dyke and continue around the lake for about 2 km until you reach the car park on the north shore of the lake (S/E).
