Parking available in front of the town hall. The departure point in Lacanche is in front of the town hall, Rue Hubert Coste.
(S/E) Walk past the town hall on the right until you reach Rue des Écoles. Follow it to the left, go straight ahead at the left-hand bend. At the next fork, take the rural path on the left towards the forest. Then continue straight ahead until you reach the tarmac road.
(1)Turn left and continue to the village of Serve.
(2) In the village, follow the road to the right (Rue Traversière). At the next crossroads, turn right to leave the village.
(3) At the village exit, follow the road that climbs slightly to the right until you reach a dirt track.
(4) Take this path, which enters the woods and leads to a fork.
(5) Go up to the left and,after a steep climb through the woods, you will reach a crossroads.
(7) Follow the markings on the right and note the Maltese boundary stones. Further on, approach a remarkable rock: the Tête à la Jument.
(8) Continue and turn right. After a steep descent, the path leads to a small tarmac road.
(9) Turn right, cross the village of Le Moulin Rouge, and further on, reach Vieux Saint-Pierre.
(10) Stop and visit the chapel (if it is not open, ask for the key at the neighbouring house). Continue along the road until you reach a crossroads.
(11) Turn left onto a large grassy area, then follow the path up into the woods. After the climb, you will arrive at a plateau.
(12)Take the path on the right and enjoy a pleasant walk through the forest to Lacanche.
(13) Continue straight on along the Grande Rue to cross the village. Turn into the first street on the right. Note the renovated wash house on the left and follow Rue de La Fontaine. Then keep to the right on Rue Hubert Coste until you reach Lacanche Town Hall (S/E).
