(S/E) Start from the car park in the centre of the village next to the church. Walk past the cemetery and the church to reach the village's first fountain decorated with flowers. Follow the road to the right, walk past the first wash house, then turn onto the road that curves to the left.
At the first crossroads, turn left and pass the water treatment plant. Under the power line, you will arrive atthe second wash house. Continue on to the place known as Les Sablières.
(1) Turn right, then left 100 metres further on to return to the road. Continue straight ahead, then turn right towards Les Capettes. Pass the hamlet and cross the railway line, near which there is an old well. Follow the Route du Bois Jolis to reach thethird wash house. Continue along the road until you reach a crossroads.
(2) Turn right, cross the Ruisseau de Joudes stream, then turn left onto the path that enters the Bois de Tréchaud woods and runs alongside a large property. Continue until you reach the junction with a road.
(3) Turn right and follow the road for about 700 m.
(4) 100 m before a crossroads with a cross, turn left into the woods and then join a path. Turn right onto this path and continue until you reach a crossroads near afourth wash house.
(5) Turn right and pass the road leading to Rosière until you reach a fork a few metres further on.
(6) Take the path on the left at the edge of the Bois de Fayeux, turn right and return to the path along the railway line. Turn right along the railway line and further on turn left, cross the railway bridge, pass the power line and take the path on the right that cuts across the bend.
(7) Turn right onto the Marciat road. There is a fountain on the left side of the road. Continue to the bend.
(8) Turn right and walk back to see afifth, very original wash house. There are also fountains in the hamlet.
(9) Retrace your steps.
(8) Turn right between the houses and continue for a few metres. At the T-junction, turn right towards Marciat to see asixth wash house.
(10) Follow the road as it curves to the right around Le Vigneux. At No. 3, turn left and continue to the second junction.
(11) Turn left onto the footpath, then take the stairs to return to the starting point at the car park in the village of Joudes (S/E).
