The walk starts at Moulin Burignat, which breeds snails and offers guest accommodation and a table d’hôtes serving farm-fresh produce. On-site car park.
(S/E) Take the road towards the village of Montagna-le-Templier until you reach the first junction.
(1) Turn right, then left at the cemetery. Then cycle through the village towards Broissia. When you reach the main road, cross it and pass through the hamlet of Les Bordelets until you reach the chapel.
(2) Turn left and walk through the Cruas farm, which used to be a mill.
(3) Then cross the small bridge on the right and follow the stony track. At the three-way junction, turn left and admire the old Moulin de la Pierre, clad in timber, on your left.
(4) Continue along the path past the walnut trees. Join the stony track and turn left, then keep to the left all the way to reach the hamlet of Barézia and the D117.
(5) Follow it to the left for 400 metres, then, after a bridge, turn sharply right onto the track.
(6) Walk through the farm, formerly the Moulin de la Foule. Continue straight on and, at the end of the path, turn right onto the tarmac road. Further on, turn right to admire – and perhaps visit – the Pont des Vents Ecomuseum Mill, which is still in operation.
(7) Retrace your steps and follow the road north-east until you reach the path that crosses it, marked by an ash tree on the right (elevation 352).
(8) Take the path on the left, heading north, towards Montagna, ignoring any side paths.
(9) Walk past the Bulle sawmill, which was once powered by water, then cross the bridge on the right (D86E2) to reach the junction of the circular route.
(1) Turn right and head for the Burignat Mill (S/E).
