Park in the large unmarked car park next to the cemetery in Fontaine-lès-Dijon.
(S/E) Walk up towards the semi-underground water reservoir and enter the woods surrounding the basilica.
(1) Take the first path on the right that runs alongside and descends from the cemetery; continue on the left along Chemin des Connottes, then Rue des Cotes d'Ahuy, which is a continuation of the former.
(2) Take the gravel path on the left (Chemin des Bois) heading north-northwest and descend between orchards and fields. Go back up, cross a path, then take the footbridge over the ring road and join a new path.
(3) Turn right and take this path towards Ahuy, passing a first path on the left and then a second on the right. Enter the village.
(4) Turn left onto Rue du Paradis and continue to the crossroads.
(5) Turn left onto Chemin des Jossets and continue straight ahead until you reach the end.
(6) Turn right heading due west along the path through the woods (yellow markings) and do not go down to the bottom of Combe Souillot. Join the valley further on, turn right and continue to a fork in the path.
(7) Continue straight ahead, then climb up a steep path through boxwood and lichen for the last few metres until you reach a field path. Turn left, arrive opposite the stadium and turn right towards the village.
Take Rue de Chambertin to a four-way intersection and turn left onto Rue de la Cognée, passing in front of the school. At the next four-way intersection, turn left onto Grande Rue, then left again to reach the typical church and the highest point.
(8) Walk downhill for a long time, continuing straight ahead along Rue du Bas du Velars, which then becomes Chemin d'Hauteville, ignoring the numerous paths on the right and left. Pass a crossroads with a calvary and continue to an intersection just before the N274.
(9) Go up a small staircase, then turn right and join the road. Turn left and cross the bridge over the N274. Stay on the left side of the road, passing the bus terminus, turn left onto Route de Daix and continue to the cross.
Leave the road and turn left onto the path that crosses the woods. At the top, you will reach the esplanade of the basilica. Walk along the esplanade, turn left for 50 metres and descend the path for 40 metres to reach another path.
(10) Turn right, then take the first path on the right and walk north-east for 80 metres to reach the intersection you passed at the start of the walk.
(1) Turn right onto the starting path and return to the car park below the woods (S/E).
