Accessible from the Puichéric road, La Redorte harbour and Avenue du Port offer a few parking spaces.
(S/E) From the port, take Avenue du Port, leaving the café-restaurant on your left.
At the start of the avenue, on the right, the small path through the nurseries leads you to Rue des Pépinières. At the end of this street, cross the RD11. Walk alongside the cemetery on your right for about 50 metres and cross the car park on your left, which slopes slightly upwards. At the far end of the car park, head up the path and follow the eastern wall of the cemetery. After about a hundred metres, take the Chemin du Pech Saint-Jean on the left, which leads downhill.
(1) Just before the path makes its first turn to the left, a platform has been levelled off on the right. From there, a narrow path branches off in the opposite direction; take this. After about 200m, it is lined with magnificent olive trees and overlooks another path below on the left.
At the end of the path, the Canal du Midi comes into view.
(2) Turn left onto the edge of the canal bridge, which carries the canal over the “Argent Double” river, then follow the towpath to the pretty little bridge over the canal.
(3) Cross the bridge over the canal and continue straight on to the dairy farm, which you go round to the left. Continue along the tarmac path to reach the small lake.
(4) Before the small lake, turn right and follow the bank of the Argent Double.
(5) After about 350m, cross the river via the old bridge opposite the spillway. When you reach the canal on your left, cross the spillway and then pass under the bridge supporting the RD11. The towpath leads to the bridge after the Port de la Redorte (opposite bank). Go up onto this bridge and cross it.
Once on the other side, on your right, a path leads back down to the port.
(S/E) Return to the starting point; the circular loop is complete.
