You can park your vehicle in the small square next to the school (2) or a little higher up in the church car park.
(S/E) In both cases, you will need to walk down to the bottom of the valley (follow the sign for Berthelange). After 50 metres, you will reach the Fontaine Ronde.
(1) Turn left and follow the small tarmac road that runs alongside farm buildings before winding its way through fields. Two kilometres further on, the small road joins the D16 at the southern entrance to Berthelange.
(2) Follow the departmental road towards the centre, then, at the church, turn left into the street that serves the housing estates. You will arrive at the junction with Chemin des Vignes.
(3) Turn right, then continue along the dirt track that follows it. Cross a large area of farmland and you will reach the edge of the Cordes forest.
(4) Enter the forest via a path that is relatively wide at first but quickly turns into a rough track. When you come to a hunting observation post, follow the track to the left. You are now in an area that tends to become marshy.
A footbridge allows you to cross the stream at the bottom of the valley. The path leads to a wider track. Take it to the right and shortly afterwards you will see the edge of the forest and the path that runs alongside it.
(5) Take this path to the right. After walking for 750 metres, you will arrive at the D16. Take this road to the right for only about 40 metres.
(6) Cross the road and take a good path that enters a small wooded area, heading north-east. Leave the forest and you will come to a crossroads before a bridge.
(7) Turn left, cross the Cottier stream, climb up the hillside towards the small wood of La Raie, and reach its edge.
(8) Turn left, then right at the next crossroads. Stay on this path to walk alongside the Lantenne-Vertière tile factory.
Please note: the route of the path has been changed, so it may not appear on the map. Next, walk along the pastures, where you can see the tile factory buildings below. Pass a farm before reaching the first houses of Lantenne-Vertière.
(9) Turn immediately right at a 90° angle, pass in front of a farm shed and, after about 250 metres, you will come to a three-way junction.
(10) Continue and descend to the bottom of the valley to find the Cottier stream.
(11) Climb up the other side on a dirt track. Walk along the Combarroux woods to reach the Bouvier woods.
(12) Walk along this forest too, then enter the Noues forest and return to the original crossroads at Fontaine Ronde.
