Eyre (fleuve) walks

A family walk through the forest and then across the Eyre delta and its marshland landscapes, with wildlife in abundance throughout the route.

Arcachon - Cap Ferret by bike is a very pleasant way to get an overview of this magnificent lagoon opening onto the ocean. You will pass through numerous coastal towns, seaports and oyster farms, a bird sanctuary and the Lège and Garonne national forest. The return trip by boat at the end of the day is a little gem in itself.

The third stage of this tour of the Arcachon Basin leads from Audenge to Biganos station. The option chosen is to travel by train from Biganos to Arcachon because crossing the marshes is not possible during the chosen season (December).The route is entirely on roads, with a pleasant stretch through a forest of various deciduous trees. Biganos is a larger town than the villages we passed through earlier and has no particular charm except for its harbour.
